Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Indu Sarkar’ gets a release date

Madhur Bhandarkar's highly awaited film 'Indu Sarkar' has joined the list of movies that now has a release date. The 48-year-old director took to his Twitter handle to announce the release date for his upcoming movie as July 21, alongside a poster of the movie. He wrote, “It's an #Emergency!! Your date with an important chapter from post independence history of India, #InduSarkar releases on 21st July 2017.” Recently, the National award-winning director also shared the first look of his passion project. The movie will be based on a 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977, when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally had a state of emergency declared across the country. Starring Kirti Kulhari and Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles, the film is all set to hit theatres on July 21.
