‘Obscenity’: Sabyasachi receives backlash for mangalsutra ad campaign

• Designer Sabyasachi is facing huge backlash for his jewellery ad campaign featuring same-sex and heterosexual couples wearing his Royal Bengal Mangalsutra collection. The campaign also features models in intimate clothing wearing the mangalsutra that is typically worn by married Indian women. The ad campaign did not go down well with a section of social media and users brutally trolled the designer and also slammed him for hurting religious sentiments.
