How Xi & Putin warned the West with YJ-21, Sarmat missile tests

Russia & China recently tested new advanced weapons - the display of force came at a one-day gap. China tested the YJ-21 hypersonic missile on Tuesday, while Russia tested the Sarmat on Wednesday. After suffering heavy losses in Ukraine, Putin is keen to signal that Russia is still a force to reckon with. China, closely watching Russian forces' debacle in Ukraine, is worried Taiwan may be assuming similar aid from the west. China sees Taiwan as a breakaway province, visits by U.S. & European delegations have unsettled officials in Beijing. Ukraine war hasn't played out as planned - Putin's army battling logistical, command & control setbacks.
