Delhi CM Rekha Gupta speaks on capital’s pollution crisis, Yamuna cleanup & more | HTLS 2025

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, at HTLS 2025, called Delhi’s chronic smog and Yamuna pollution a “legacy problem,” arguing there is “no magic wand” but insisting her government is “doing everything” from anti‑dust drives and GRAP curbs to large‑scale cleaning and sewage interception along the river. She said unchecked growth, exploding vehicle numbers and decades of poor planning created today’s crisis, and urged Delhiites and neighbouring states to share responsibility, while promising that sustained measures on air quality and Yamuna cleanup will deliver visible improvements over the next few years.
