‘Humiliating’: Owaisi targets BJP after Karnataka teachers asked to remove Hijab

• The Hijab controversy in Karnataka has now exploded. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has hit out at the BJP after fresh videos from Karnataka's Mandya went viral where even teachers were asked to remove Hijabs before entering school premises. Following the new order amid a hearing in Karnataka High Court, a supervisor at a Mandya school ensured that all teachers and students entering the premises removed their Hijabs first. However, the Deputy Director of Public Instruction in Mandya clarified that no diktat has been issued to Muslim teachers in the district to remove hijab and burqa before entering schools as being speculated. Owaisi has now claimed that the move was humiliating to Muslim women and asked via a tweet if this is dignity. Watch the video for more details.
