IAS couple dog walking row: Mahua, Omar question transfers to Arunachal, Ladakh

A massive controversy has erupted in the national capital after a picture of an IAS couple walking their dog in Thyagraj Stadium went viral. Sanjeev Khirwar and Rinku Dugga, both 1994 batch officers of the AGMUT cadre, were forcing athletes to finish their training by 7 PM, so that they could bring their dog to the facility for daily evening walk. The Ministry of Home Affairs has now transferred the couple to Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh. However, TMC MP Mahua Moitra and NC Leader Omar Abdullah have slammed this punishment posting claiming that it was demoralising to the people there to be given the impression that officers only get sent as a punishment. Meanwhile, the internet is in splits as the 2 officers have been sent to opposite ends of the country. Memes went viral asking who will take care of the dog amid all of this.
