A 12-year-old boy lost his life on his father's shoulder as he was denied admission and a stretcher at the Lala Lajpat Rai hospital in Kanpur. The hospital's emergency section refused to admit Sunil Kumar's son Ansh, neither did the staff provide him any assistance to carry the boy to a children medical centre, where he was suggested to go. The boy took his last breath on his father's shoulder. A similar incident was reported from Odisha last week when a man had to carry his dead wife for 10 km after he was denied an ambulance by hospital authorities.
