The urge for a selfie with a cobra claims the life of a 24-year old Jagadish of Mangalampet in Potti Sriramulu Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Taking a snake farmer's word for it that he had herbs to counteract snake bites, Jagadish picked up a reptile from the charmer's basket, put it around his neck and posed for selfie. Even as Jagadish held it by its neck firmly, the snake bit him in his hand. With foams oozing from mouth, he was taken to primary health centre at Sullurupeta where antivenom was readily not available. When Jagadish was being shifted to a hospital in Sri City which was 50 km away. He reportedly succumbed to snake bite.
