HT Explains: Close contest between BJP and Congress in Uttarakhand

Voting for Uttarakhand assembly has started today. It is expected to be another close contest between the BJP and the Congress. In 2012, 37 assembly seats had a margin of less than 5000 votes. The Congress had defeated the BJP by one seat in the previous election and formed the government with the help of independent MLAs.
