‘India can be $10 trillion economy in 10, 15, 20 yrs’: Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that India has the potential to make its economy worth $10 trillion within 20 years. Singh was at the 'DefConnect' event to interact with innovators and startups in the defence sector. He invoked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mission of doubling Indian economy's size in 5 years, and said that India had the potential to go further. He hailed Indian startups and said that the government's aim was to make the Indian defence industry self-reliant and less dependent on imports.
