Irked by unfulfilled promises, family of fallen soldier sits on hunger strike

The family of fallen soldier Sudheesh Kumar belonging to Pansukha village of Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district went on hunger strike alleging the state government of not fulfilling promises. The slain soldier lost his life in a ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir last year after which the then Samajwadi Party government promised to provide basic facilities to his family, which was later followed by promises assured by the BJP government too. The family members said that the strike would continue until Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath meets them.
