Watch | Ex-serviceman commits suicide at Jantar Mantar over OROP issue

An ex-serviceman on Wednesday committed suicide at Jantar Mantar in the national capital over the One Rank One Pension (OROP) issue. The former solider, Ram Kishan Grewal, from Bhiwani district in Haryana left a note that stated that he was taking this extreme step for the benefit of soldiers. The family members are in shock and said that he committed suicide as the Government failed to fulfill their demands related to OROP. Grewal's family has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take appropriate action over OROP issue.
