The farmers from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur and Agra are facing a tough time as there is little or no currency available for them to fulfill their daily needs. The Punjab agricultural market had also witnessed a downward trend in Ludhiana. Just ahead of the cropping season farmers find it difficult to purchase seeds following the ban of notes of the denomination Rs 500 and Rs 1,000.
