Janata Dal-United Chief Sharad Yadav today voiced strong objection to the opening up of the country's insurance and pension sectors for foreign direct investment (FDI), saying that the central government was an incompetent entity without a voice of its own. Yadav said in New Delhi that if the government was so keen on letting private investors take over key sectors, it must renounce its power to them as well. Yadav also spoke in support of senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani as a candidate for Prime Ministership in 2014.
