In a horrifying incident, a man was tied to a train's window and beaten up drinking water from fellow passenger's bottle in Itarsi district of Madhya Pradesh. The incident came to light when video of the incident shot by some vendors at the railway station went viral on social media on Monday.

Sumit, who was on way to Mumbai to take a competitive examination, mistakenly consumed water from his co-passenger's bottle and an altercation led to the three-hour drama. The train crossed through 24 intermediate stations between Jabalpur and Itarasi, but the matter remained unreported. The three accused were taken into custody at Itarsi railway station immediately after it was reported to the GRP by some station vendors.
