Watch | Railway constable suspended for extorting money from passengers

A Government Railway Police (GRP) constable was caught on camera allegedly asking passengers for money in lieu of seats on a train, sources said on Wednesday. The man, identified as Amit Malik, has been suspended from duties. The unidentified passenger posted the video on social media and the clip landed on one of the WhatsApp groups where officials of GRP and railway protection force officials are members. The Ghaziabad GRP police station booked Malik for extortion and also under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act and the Police Act.
