Iran's latest ballistic-missile salvo may have forced the U.S. to burn through hundreds of millions of dollars in Patriot interceptors within minutes. According to Clash Report, Tehran fired around 20 missiles at Jordan's Muwaffaq Salti Air Base on September 9, while open-source estimates suggest 60 to more than 100 Patriot interceptors were launched in response. With PAC-3 MSE rounds costing roughly $4 million each, the engagement may have cost between $240 million and over $500 million. Is Tehran deliberately exploiting America's expensive defensive doctrine to drain critical missile stocks without matching Washington dollar-for-dollar?
