IRGC destroys US air defense systems in Bahrain; FPS‑117, Patriot and drone radars hit in Kuwait?
Published on Jul 21, 2026 02:34 pm IST
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it destroyed key U.S. air defense systems in Bahrain and targeted multiple radar installations in Kuwait, including the FPS-117 early warning radar, Patriot missile defense batteries, and drone surveillance radars. The claims, if verified, could mark a significant escalation in regional tensions and raise fresh concerns about the security of U.S. military assets across the Gulf. However, there has been no independent confirmation from U.S., Bahraini, or Kuwaiti authorities regarding the reported strikes.
