Is US' Qatar-arms deal the biggest blunder of the decade, now haunting Trump's forces over Iran?

Questions have emerged over whether Iran’s success against certain U.S. platforms during recent fighting could have benefited from knowledge gained indirectly through foreign-operated versions of American systems. Critics point to Qatar’s acquisition of advanced U.S. equipment, including variants of the F-15, AH-64E Apache and MQ-9 drone family, alongside its longstanding security cooperation framework with Iran. However, no public evidence has demonstrated that sensitive U.S. military technology was transferred from Qatar to Iran. Analysts note that concerns about technology leakage have accompanied major arms exports for years, while U.S. officials have maintained that safeguards were in place to protect sensitive systems and software.
