‘Israel Committing Crimes’: NATO Nation Faces Rebellion; Bureaucrats For Halt To Arms Supply

600 German civil servants have written to the country's chancellor Olaf Scholz urging him to “immediately” halt weapons sales to Israel, accusing it of committing crimes in Gaza. “Israel is committing crimes in Gaza that are in clear contradiction to international law and thus to the Constitution, which we are bound to as federal civil servants and public employees,” the letter read, as per Al Jazeera. Germany has emerged as the second-biggest arms supplier of Israel in 2023, making up 30 percent of the Israeli military’s weapons.
