Union Home Minister Amit Shah prayed at the Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Shah performed 'Mangla Aarti' (auspicious ritual to pay obeisance to lord). Gujarat Chief Minister performed the 'Pahind Vidhi', a symbolic ritual. After the symbolic ritual, the chariots of embarked on the annual yatra.
