Jashn-e-Rekhta 2019: Ghazals, sufi music, food and more

The 6th edition of Jashn-e-Rekhta was held from December 13-15 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. Organised by the Rekhta Foundation, it celebrates Urdu, its rich history and culture. It also endeavours to engage, enlighten and entertain audiences from diverse backgrounds. The festival also had a range of stalls selling books, Urdu theme merchandise with calligraphy, artefacts and other items. Various personalities such as Javed Akhtar, Shujaat Khan, Maithili Thakur, Harshdeep Kaur and others were part of the festival. The Food festival 'Aiwan-e-Zaiqa' had cuisines for lovers of authentic Awadhi, Mughlai, Hyderabadi, Afghani, Bihari, Kashmiri food and also popular street food from Purani Dilli
