Religion, technology and vengeful vegetarianism feature on #Bookstack this week

This week's Bookstack features a wonderful book of photographs, an exploration of how tech has taken over our lives and brains and how to disengage from it, and a novel from an old favourite. The first volume looks at religiosity in its many forms on the Indian subcontinent from Sufism to Vaishnavism and worship of the Mother goddess; the second makes you aware of just how hooked we all are, and the last, a novel set in 1949, provides readers with insights into vexed contemporary issues in a way only fiction can.
