Meet the teenager who wishes there was a permanent total solar eclipse, thanks to her agonizing allergic reaction to the sun. Autumn Everitt-Brick is confined to her own home due to her extremely rare reaction to UV light and heat. Exposure causes immediate reddening and blistering to her skin, leaving Autumn too afraid to go outside. But, as the skies slowly grow dark on Friday, she will finally be able to have one normal day. The 18-year-old from Hertfordshire, England says, “I can't really remember life before my allergies, but I wish I could do normal things other people are doing my age. Who knows what the future holds.”
