Tried and Tasted: The best Seekh Kababs in town
Updated on Mar 14, 2017 08:19 am IST
You will never get two people to agree on where they think the best kababs come from. There are as many informal kabab lovers' clubs as they are possibly kababchis in the country. And so we found one in an old nook of Old Delhi. The 34 year-old roadside shop belonging to the Qureishi family, has a long history to it. The Qureishi family sold papayas in a corner of Old Delhi. Then one day, Fahimuddin Qureishi decided to set up a grill for seekh kababs near Chitli Kabar. His son, Moinuddin, carried on with the business for 34 long years. Now Moinuddin's sons, Mohammed Imran and Abid Qureishi, have expanded the business and now sell, apart from the famed kababs, biryani in an eatery called Sangam right there.
