Macron backs Ukraine's deep strikes into Russia as G7 steps up support; invites Putin's fury?

French President Emmanuel Macron said the G7 had decided to support Ukraine more strongly, including helping it defend itself from missile and drone attacks and giving it capabilities to strike deep in order to protect itself from attacks launched from farther away. Macron also said Ukraine was resisting “much better than expected” and described the G7 response as part of a broader effort to increase pressure on Russia.
