Make-in-India boost: HTT-40 trainer aircraft gets airworthiness certification

HTT-40 recently received airworthiness certification from the Centre for Military Airworthiness & Certification. Aatmanirbhar Bharat boost - The project set a record as the fastest to reach certification from first flight. The Hindustan Turbo Trainer rolled out in 2016; flight is being developed for the first stage of rookie pilots. In stage 2 training, the pilots move to Kiran Mark II & Stage 3 involves training on Hawk advanced jet aircraft. The HTT-40 basic trainer aircraft boasts of a speed of 450 km/hour, with a range of 1,000 kilometers. Modern system - All metal, FADEC control turbo prop trainer with zero-zero ejection seats & multifunction displays.
