US Secretary of State Marco Rubio made startling remarks on Syria during his Senate hearing on May 20. Speaking days after President Donald Trump met the interim Syrian President Al Golani in Riyadh, Rubio discussed the possibility of ISIS' resurgence in the country, the discord between communities across Syria and the possibility of a civil war in case of continuous unrest.
