Mecca on high alert: Houthi missiles force Saudis indoors as threat returns, 6 missiles intercepted

Mecca was briefly placed on alert as Saudi authorities warned of a “potential danger” and urged residents to stay indoors and away from windows. Similar warnings were issued in Jeddah, Yanbu and Tabuk before alerts were lifted minutes later. Saudi authorities said six ballistic missiles were intercepted amid renewed Houthi pressure on the kingdom. The scare follows a warning from a senior Houthi official telling other countries not to join Saudi Arabia in the Yemen conflict. With threats mounting at home and abroad, are the Houthis trying to stretch MBS’s defences with another missile campaign?
