‘Arrest me today’: Himanta Biswa on FIR amid Assam-Mizoram border row

- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke on the FIR filed against him in the Assam-Mizoram border dispute. Sarma said he will be “extremely happy if filing an FIR will resolve the Assam-Mizoram border dispute”. Sarma also called for an investigation by any Central Agency in the violence. On July 26, six Assam police personnel were killed during the violence. Centre intervened to resolve the dispute and both states have asked the police forces to stand down at the border.
