A political controversy has erupted after Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane launched a sharp attack on AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi amid allegations linked to the Nida Khan case. Rane accused AIMIM of being a “terrorist organisation” and demanded that the party be banned, drawing comparisons between Owaisi and former Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. The remarks come amid claims that an AIMIM leader allegedly provided shelter to Nida Khan, who is accused in the TCS religious conversion and sexual harassment case. Escalating his criticism, Rane alleged that AIMIM’s political agenda revolves around promoting “Jihad” and questioned the party’s contributions since entering electoral politics.
