Some foods hit the climate harder than others. While 1 kg potatoes have a carbon footprint of 0.5 kg, it is 5 kg for an equal amount of eggs. The carbon footprint of 1 kg of chocolate is 34 kg, while for 1 kg beef, it is 71 kg.
