EC issues show cause notice to Samajwadi Party for violating Covid norms

• A show cause notice has been issued to the Samajwadi party over gross violation of COVID guidelines at its rally on Friday after thousands of party workers gathered physically to attend the 'virtual' SP rally. The Lucknow police officials pasted the notice at Samajwadi Party office on Saturday morning. UP Chief Election Commissioner has also directed for the suspension of the SHO of Gautampalli area. Earlier, an FIR was filed against 2,500 SP workers for crowding at party office during joining of ex-BJP leaders. Watch full video.
