France Helps Evacuate Indians In Coup-Hit Niger; MEA In Touch With Indian Community I Details

The Ministry of External Affairs is keeping a close watch on the situation in the Western African nation of Niger. This is after Niger's president, Mohamed Bazoum, was deposed by the country's military leadership last week. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that about 200 to 250 Indian nationals are currently present in Nigeria, and all are safe at the moment. Meanwhile, the French government has also evacuated more than 990 of its citizens, including Indian nationals. Watch what Bagchi said about the developing situation in Niger.
