Geelani death: Pak mourns loss of asset in Kashmir as India ramps up security

A day after senior Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani passed away in Srinagar, Pakistan has observing an official day of mourning. The state of mourning was announced by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday night as he condoled the demise of Geelani. The 92-year-old separatist leader died after prolonged illness last night and he was buried near his residence in Srinagar amid tight security arrangements. Authorities in Kashmir have blocked mobile voice calling and data services across the Valley to maintain law and order. Restrictions have also been imposed in Srinagar and other towns of Kashmir.
