Gen Bipin Rawat warns Taliban against terrorism spilling out of Afghanistan

• India’s Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat said that India had anticipated Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan but the timeline of the events surprised the nation. According to Rawat, India had anticipated the events to unfold after two months. Rawat also warned against any possible terrorist activities spilling out of Afghanistan to India amid growing concerns on terrorism under Taliban’s rule. The CDS said that any such activities will be firmly dealt with and also claimed that India is conventionally capable enough to deal with its two nuclear-armed neighbours China & Pakistan.
