India takes over UNSC presidency; sends special food hamper to foreign diplomats

India has begun its presidency of the UN Security Council for the month of August. India took over the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) presidency from France. PM Modi will be the first Indian prime minister to preside over a UNSC meeting. India’s Ambassador to the United Nations, TS Tirumurti, said the focus would be on maritime security, peacekeeping and terror. This is India's first presidency during its 2021-22 tenure as a non-permanent member. Watch the full video for more.
