India To Build Rail Line Near PoK In Kashmir? Survey Underway For Train In J&K's Kupwara

The frontier district of Kupwara on Line of Control in North Kashmir will also be connected to the railway line as a technical survey sanctioned by the railway ministry was going on, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Friday. In an official statement, Sinha said the railway ministry has sanctioned a survey of railline for Kupwara district and once the survey is completed and the DPR is submitted, "I hope work on the rail link will be started and Kupwara will be connected to the rail network".
