India’s big American weapons buy: $45.7 million Javelin deal marks fresh milestone in US ties

The Indian Army has signed a Letter of Offer and Acceptance with the United States to acquire the Javelin anti-tank guided missile system through the US Foreign Military Sales process. The deal, valued at around $45.7 million, is expected to further deepen defence cooperation between India and the United States. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said the agreement reflects a defence partnership that is becoming “deeper, more capable, and more consequential.”
