India's Russian Oil Imports Rise, But Thermal Coal Trade To Dip Amid U.S, West's Sanctions | Report

Reuters has reported that India's crude oil imports from Russia are set to multiply this month from January. But it added that the imports are expected to slow down in the coming months as the U.S. has stepped up sanctions on Russia following its invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Meanwhile, the new U.S. sanctions are also set to affect India-Russia thermal coal trade. A Reuters report said that sanctions are likely to cut Indian imports of thermal coal from Russia.
