'Jimmy Jimmy' turns protest anthem in China amid Covid curbs | Watch

- Superhit song 'Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja' from a Mithun Chakraborty's Disco Dancer has become an anthem for Chinese amid strict COVID lockdown. The literal translation of Jimmy Jimmy in Mandarin is 'give me rice'. Millions of locked down Chinese nationals have uploaded videos on social media singing the classic 1982 song to protest against Xi Jinping administration. It is being seen as a plea from the people to Xi Jinping government to lift its harsh restrictions that are put in to place even when just a handful of Covid-19 cases are being reported.
