‘Kids handle virus better than adults’: ICMR DG on reopening of Primary schools

- Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) DG Dr Balram Bhargava on Tuesday backed reopening of schools whenever it is possible to do so, he added that children can handle viral infections better than adults. The ICMR DG further added that many countries didn’t shut schools despite multiple waves of Covid pandemic and India should consider opening primary schools first before it opens secondary schools.
