Made-In-India satellite for Indian Army; Modi Govt signs ₹3,000 CR deal with ISRO for GSAT 7B

For the first time, the Indian Army is all set to get its own communications satellite. The defence ministry signed a ₹3,000-crore contract with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) for GSAT-7B, an advanced communication satellite. Indian Army is the only one among the other armed forces - IAF and Indian Navy - who doesn't have its own communication satellite. The Army is set to get the five-tonne geostationary satellite by 2026 and it will be developed indigenously by ISRO. Watch this video for more details.
