Mobile phones stop working in Pak? Power outage threatens communication blackout

According to Reuters, thousands of mobile phone towers in Pakistan have gone offline due to a nationwide power cut caused by a major grid failure. The situation has raised the spectre of a telecommunications blackout in several parts of the country. Pakistan's national grid suffered a major outage leaving millions without electricity. Now, the disruption has started hitting the telecommunications industry and mobile phone towers run out of backup fuel or batteries.
