Modi govt declares PFI ‘unlawful’; 5-year ban for 'backing terror in India’

In a major move following nationwide raids on Popular Front of India, the Union Home Ministry issued a notification banning PFI for five years and declaring it 'unlawful'. The notification said: "There had been a number of instances of international linkages of PFI with Global Terrorist Groups and some activists of the PFI have joined Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and participated in terror activities in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan." The move follows two rounds of massive raids on PFI leaders in terror funding cases. Watch this video for more details.
