Modi govt tags PFI as terrorist organisation; What ban on Islamist outfit means

The Narendra Modi government in India has banned PFI under UAPA, which now makes it a terrorist organisation. Sources tell HT, that Centre's move will now cripple the funding of 'unlawful' Popular Front Of India. It also allows central agencies and state police to arrest any individual associated with the PFI. It also means that PFI can no longer organise protests, rallies, etc. in India.
