Several leaders from the opposition are jumping ship ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha election. An internal spreadsheet prepared by the Congress of opposition leaders who have joined the saffron party from 2014 till last year has a figure of 444 MLAs. Meanwhile, the number of Congress MLAs who have joined the BJP till 2023 stands at 226. The BJP will be banking on many of these leaders to achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘400 paar’ target in the Lok Sabha elections.
