Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 11 announced India's first test-launch of a nuclear-capable missile with MIRV technology which allows a single missile to launch multiple warheads for hitting several targets at once. PM Modi posted on social platform X, "Proud of our DRDO scientists for Mission Divyastra, the first flight test of indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology."
