Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s landmark visit to Italy has marked a major upgrade in India-Italy relations, as both countries elevated their bilateral ties to a Special Strategic Partnership. During talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome, the two leaders pledged to deepen cooperation across trade, defence, artificial intelligence, innovation, energy, space, infrastructure, and maritime connectivity.
