PM Modi's big warning against sexism in I-Day speech; 'Let's wipe out misogyny'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has always been an advocate of women empowerment, called for freedom from misogyny in his Independence Day address. Sharing his pain and warning against sexism, the PM said "we all need to change our conduct towards women and stop insulting them even in casual conversations". The PM also made a mega 'Nari Shakti' pitch from the ramparts of Red Fort and recalled the contributions of the women freedom fighters of India. He invoked Rani Laxmibai, Jhalkari Bai, Chennamma & Begum Hazrat Mahal. The PM further went on to say that women will play a key role in achieving India's 2047 target. Watch this report to know more.
